Hi, my name is Alex. I’m a programmer from Australia, currently based in Switzerland.

I moved to Switzerland in 2016 to complete a Master’s in Computer Science at EPFL. Currently I’m working as a software engineer at Genedata, where I develop software to facilitate pharmaceutical R&D and novel molecule discovery. Before that I was working at the University of Bern, where my team researched the mental health effects of the COVID pandemic.

Some of my professional interests include full-stack web development, data visualisation, and computational biology. You can see examples of projects I’ve completed in my portfolio.

Outside of work I’m a drummer, and I also do graphic design for my own musical projects and other independent artists. On the weekend, you’ll most likely find me hiking or camping in the Bernese Oberland.
